So today they just announced that we've consecutively broken the record for the highest temperature recorded in Vancouver, at 34.4 degrees Celsius. Sounds like peanuts if you've experienced California's deserts where it can easily be 44 degrees Celsius, but with this smoggy, tropical humidity, it's pretty insane. Especially since inside my apartment it's also about 34 degrees Celsius.
Massive storm clouds have also appeared over the Coast Mountains, and apparently an hour ago lightning struck on Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler, and there's a forest fire growing exponentially near the peak. Great.
In other news, it's a great day to go to the beach!
