I can't believe I'm going to be at this evening's Canada vs. Russia men's ice hockey game!!! This is a Big Deal here in Vancouver, and all over Canada. This game will stop traffic. This game will turn a city into a ghost town! And I'll be there, ninth row!
In case you're wondering, I was given this ticket as a gift a week and a half ago, not knowing who'd be playing. All I knew is that that it would be a semifinal. And look at this! It's almost fate! I will definitely be blogging about this and taking many photos!
If they win tonight, expect the streets to look exactly how they did back in 2002 when Canada's men's ice hockey team won gold at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
So, so, so excited!!!
